How to override unused ports on a VNX SAN
We are using SCOM 2012. I have installed the EMC Storage Integration for Windows Suite v2.1.986.5516 on a server and installed the included SCOM management packs and am successfully monitoring my VNX SANs.
In the SCOM console, the SANs are showing exclamation marks next to FC ports which are not being used, as per this example:
|
||||
Display Name | 4 | |||
Details | FcStoragePort 4 on VNX5300 FCN00124123456
Class Name | FcStoragePort
Physical Path | VNX5300 FCN00124123456/Bus 0 Enclosure 0/SP A/4
Trace Level | 0 | |||
Service Node Id | SP A | |||
Port Id | 4 | |||
Usage | Target | |||
Port Location | SP A I/O Module 0 Port 0
Id | 84bd7392c31ee525893c352b4af7d6650a906f35 |
So what I would like to ask is how do I tell SCOM that these ports are OK as they are and should be disregarded?
