Have you heard of the Pre-sales Storage Sizing Desk?
Overview
The GBS Sizing Team will use customer data and desired performance objectives to assess, analyze, and create a customized presentation containing properly sized storage solution alternatives and supporting information.
The features and benefits of the Pre-Sales Storage Sizing service are:
- Shortened sales cycles by putting data driven recommendations in front of the customer
- Give sales and presales resources more time in front of their customers
- Customer-ready, cost-effective, data-driven recommendations, designed to increase customer satisfaction
- Based on EMC best practices processed through Engineering tools
- Shows how the current environment can benefit from tiered storage with improved response time, fewer drives, and less operating costs.
- Explains the advantages of FAST VP and offers ideas for implementation.
- High level direction for Professional Services on implementation of the array
- RAID protection levels for each tier
- Volume list for initial FAST VP tiers for Symmetrix targets

Note: We do not yet have access to VNX-2 sizing tools. All Unified sizing will be done with original VNX tools and solutions until the new tools become available.

Would it be possible to share a reference template of the Storage Solution.
