Best Practice SCCM on EMC DMX

Hi world,

I am looking for a best practice document how to configure System Center on a Symmetrix.

A customer is having some performance issues with SCCM, due to the high IOPS.

EFD would be great, but do we have some guidelines?

Thanks in advance

Though I am not familar with SCCM, we got Microsoft landing page for Microsoft HyperV and System Center Solution Page on ECN. Maybe you can find some useful there. If not, we need to figure out more from experts.

Hi Mike, what is the version of SCCM?  The below link is a white paper for SCCM 2007, which provides some guidelines on configuration and performance related questions.

I am not sure if we have specific Symmetrix EFD configuration guidlines for SCCM, I will have more research on it later.

SQLServer performance improvement will affect very much to SCCM performance.  EMC FAST Cache technology is suited for applications with small random IOs and relatively small working sets compared to the total database size.  So EFD will definitely be helpful on SCCM performance improvement.

Please refer to the below white paper for guidlines:
