Search facility pretty broken?

I'm searching for posts on 5820 workstations and searching for both 5820 and T5820 the results don't show recent posts, is the search facility broken?

Yeah I've noticed the same thing here. The on site search has been missing a lot of recent posts for a while now, doesn't matter if you type 5820 or T5820 or even put it in quotes. Looks like some kind of indexing lag on their end.

What I usually do instead is just open Google and type site:dell.com/community followed by what I'm looking for, so something like site:dell.com/community "T5820". Google picks up new threads within hours so the recent stuff actually shows up. You can also hit Tools in Google and filter by past week if you only want the fresh ones.

If that feels like too much fuss you can also skip search altogether and go straight to the Precision Workstations board, then sort by Latest activity. For 5820 and T5820 traffic that usually gets you to the current threads faster than searching anyway.

One other thing worth checking when you use the built in search. Make sure results are sorted by Date and not Relevance, and that no leftover category or time filter is silently applied from a previous search. That one catches me out sometimes.

Might also be worth flagging this over in the New to Dell Community board since there are already open threads there about backend issues like the comment posting failures one, could be the same root cause.

I think it is intermittently working. I created a 5820, Test post. I then searched for 5820 and it showed at top =
