Windows 7 incompatibility with basic Dell software/hardware

Hey,

Received new Dell Inspiron 1545 only a couple of weeks ago, and currently updating to Windows 7. Unfortunately, permanent removal of the Dell wireless WLAN card utility is necessary. Anyone know where/if a replacement compatible with Windows 7 is available? I haven't been able to find one yet.
