Widescreen SXGA+ vs. XGA+ for Vostro 1500
I need some suggestions here as to which screen to order for my Vostro 1500. Now, my vision isn't the greatest, and I know the WS SXGA+ screen has a higher resolution than the regulard XGA+. My concern here is I'd like to get the SXGA screen, but want to know if I can turn down the resolution and still get a decent picture / image quality.
I know that in general when you reduce resolution, you loose quality and things get fuzzy and disproportionate. My main concern is readability of the screen, and I'm not sure that I'll be able to read text as easily at 1680x1050 resolution. Can this screen go down to a 1440x900 resolution without getting too fuzzy?
Also, is the fact that the SXGA+ has a lower brightness and contrast level opposed to the XGA+ screen going to make a big difference?
Half of the time, the laptop will be plugged into a regular CRT monitor.

The difference is remarkable when working with software like photoshop because the workspace is much higher, so a screen WSXGA+ is advisable if you work with software that requires more space on the screen.
Sorry for my bad English. I hope you will help.
