Replacing Laptop Thin Harddisk with Think ones?
I recently bought a Inspiron 7467 laptop. It was equipped with a tiny 500GB 7mm thickness harddisk (Part number "NJG52", "HARD DRIVE, 500, S3, 5.4, 512E, 7, STRAIGHT, YRR, 16"). I happen to have a spare 1TB 9.5mm harddisk and would like to replace it.
1. Can a 9.5mm fit into the slot?
2. Even if you have no experience with the 7467 (which seems not a mainstream product), would Dell normally put a 7mm disk into a slot also fitting a 9.5mm drive?
I wish there's some documentation on acceptable harddisk dimension.
(It's so interesting that the dimensions of a harddisk are measured in both mm and inch...)
