New Dell XPS 18 Video Blinking

New Dell XPS 18 out of the box for about 10-15 days has a new feature. When returning to the machine after the power options have blanked the monitor the screen blinks, blink, blink, blink, constantly. The only way to resolve this has been to Win + R followed by shutdown -r -t 0 -f. This of course wipes out work that was in progress. Anyone else have this problem and have another solution to how to fix it?
