Keyboard Messed Up - Inspiron 2200

When I type "6" I get "6=" and a lot more stuff like that. Some keys work correctly, some don't.

I don't think it's a hardware problem. Sometimes it works correctly and then it's messed up for a week or so.

 

I am using a USB keyboard right now.
