Inspiron M731R, power light, black screen

I am frustrated with my Inspiron M731R since purchase on 2015 for Christmas gift. I've had repairs over phone with techs inside my laptop 3 times. Did the battery removal power button protocol, still black screen no logo, not even fan noise. I only use my laptop for searches, Facebook pics no banking or book keeping. I'm ready to toss this and return to a tablet. There are 3 in my house and never a problem that can't  be fixed in minutes.

I also checked my ram by removing and switching. It made no difference, still black screen.

Did you purchase a 1, 2, or 3 year warranty? Let's backup. Did you follow these instructions?

* Disconnect the AC adapter from the laptop
* Remove the battery from the laptop
* Press and hold down the laptop power button for 10 seconds
* Reconnect ONLY the AC adapter to the laptop, no battery
* Press the laptop power button
- If the laptop powers on, the AC adapter and power port are functioning
- If the laptop does not power on, either the AC adapter is faulty or the power port is faulty

But which of these happened with the battery removed?

- If the laptop powers on, the AC adapter and power port are functioning

- If the laptop does not power on, either the AC adapter is faulty or the power port is faulty

I would test an external monitor on the M731R HDMI out port to see if Windows is appearing. If that works, the fault is the M731R LCD or LCD cable.
