Hard sytem BEEP on latitude D620 laptop

For some windows actions or allerts there is a hard system beep. For example when volume is changed in de taskbar there is a beep.
On my inspirion 510m laptop there was a slider in de volume mixer (i think it was pc speaker).
On my latitude D620 laptop this slider is missing and i can't get rid of the verry hard BEEP.

Anyone a solution?

Thanks

You might have already done this:

Open the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties box (right click on the volume icon on the taskbar and click 'adjust audio properties', or go through the Control Panel).

Select the Audio tab.

Click on 'Volume' button under 'Sound Playback'. The Volume Control opens.

Click on the 'Options' menu, then 'Properties'.

Select 'Adjust volume for playback'.

Put a checkmark next to the beep volume controls if there.

Another idea that might work, to turn off system beeps:

1. Open “Control Panel\System\Hardware Tab\Device Manager”.
2. At the top click “View\Show hidden devices” then go to “Non-Plug and Play Drivers” and double click “Beep”.
3. Now click the “Driver Tab” and finally change “Startup Type” to “Disabled”.
4. Restart.
