Dell Wireless card 1397 compatibility

Hi all,

I'm currently using another laptop, but I broke my wifi card, and took one from the old Dell laptop. It's 1397 mini card.

I'm running windows 10, and can not turn the wi-fi on.

Drivers were installed automatically card is defined y system, but tumbler just stick in Off position and no possibility to turn wi-fi on.

I have checked BIOS set up and there is no options to manage WLAN on this level.

Is it even possible that dell wireless card would work on another laptop?

Hi 8Stack,

Thanks for writing to  us.

If you are trying use a Dell wireless card on a different make of machine, you will have to contact the system manufacturer to check the compatibility.

If you are using a Dell wireless card from one Dell machine on another Dell  let us know the system Model number we will look for more info on the same.

Regards

It was kind of quick attempt. Broadcom itself does not have support for personal clients. Only corporate support.

So if I'm going to use Dell wireless card manufactured by Broadcom in third party PC, I have no option to get a support.

Thanks!

Hi, Thanks for the response. I will contact Broadcom directly.

Dell name in wireless card name just gave me some hope.

Hi, We meant to get in touch with the third party PC manufacturer to check if the card works on their machine.
