Dell Mobile Broadband Utility breaks with ie9 beta1

Computer Vostro 1700 (windows 7)

Dell Mobile Broadband Utility 2.09.01.14 (VZW 5720 dell wireless Mobilebroadband most recent driver: 3.0.3.0)

When internet explorer 9 is installed the mobile broadband utility cannot load up.  I have since uninstalled ie9 beta so cannot recall the error message given.  The Zeepe Addons were all enabled in ie.

I will reload ie9 this weekend to see if I can recreate the error message.  Though my hopes are that Dell has already begun work on fixing this.  If I recall there was an issue like this when ie8 first was released as well.

Since there are normally numerous changes between beta and final release, it would be wise for Dell to wait until the product is finalized.

I quite agree.  And this is also the information I give to people when reporting on Beta software. However, as beta testers, it is our job to report to the manufacturer of a product of the breakage by the software being beta'd (esp when it is software that will be in wide release such as a new internet explorer).  Note as soon as this breakage occured I removed ie9, I will try again with beta2/RC1 (whichever is next released, whenever it is released) and report back to this thread if the breakage still occurs.

I don't know what you thought this message board was, but it is a user to user message board.
