Dell Inspiron 3421 Not Powering Up

I have received a brand new Dell Inspiron 3421 , I5 , which does not power up. I have tried the following: 1. Detaching the battery and draining remaining power. 2. Reseating the RAM. 3. Changing Adaptors, all to no avail, A friend is also experiencing the same issue with the same model but with an I3 processor. Can some light be shed on this??? Disappointed
