Can i upgrade the Gpu of my alienware M15x from gtx 260m to gtx770m? or should i buy an external graphics card?

It's unlikely you can use an internal card of that type - even if you can find one, the system was never shipped wit it and likely won't recognize it.
And while external GPUs are now becoming more common, the high performance ones require a thunderbolt interface your system doesn't have an cannot be upgraded to.
