XPS Gen 4 - New Case & PSU?

The 460 watt PSU on my XPS gen 4 has blown. It seems clear that these PSU's are impossible to get hold of. I understand that the gen 5 600 watt ones also fit this model. Are they available?

As an alternative, is it possible to fit the Gen 4 motheboard into a third part case so that I can buy a 'normal' PSU?

Thanks in advance

I serious;y doubt that you can mount the board in a third party case with out modifications to the case..as Dells board is non-standard..

AS to the power supply the same applies as the connectors and the pinouts on Dell power supplies and mother boards are proprietary you will need a Dell power supply or a supply from someone who make supplies that fit Dell's like Pc Power and cooling...

I did and they said that they don't manufacture the PSU for the Gen 4 any more so couldn't supply me with one.

Are you suggesting that this isn't the situation and they are available?

Thanks,

Thanks guys. I did manage to get a PSU, however I now have a problem with an 8-pin connector that should be 4-pin...
