XPS 8920 OS
I recent bought a new Dell XPS 8920 desktop with less than 250gb of OS which is insufficient for my needs. It has almost 2T for disc D for data. I want to scale the OS disk to more capacity in order to be able to install Adobe programs that alone occupy that pre-installed storage space mentioned above or even more, then how can I have two operating disks, one for Windows and his endless updates and another one for the programs? How I can select the right hard drive for doing this and how install it?
Thanks
Elio

Partitioning of your OS drive is not going to help, in fact it will make the space available for your OS partition smaller. What you need to do, assuming you have Windows 10, is to go to Settings/System/Storage and click on "Change where new content is saved" and change where apps are saved to D:. Note this is for new apps for existing apps I think you would have to uninstall and then re-install them. You should probably also change where new documents are saved to D : also. An OS drive of 250 GB should be sufficient for the OS, it seems you must also have lots of data on the OS drive. My OS drive is using less than 45 GB. If you wish to move current user folders, just Google "How to change the location of user folders in Windows 10". Hope this helps.

Elio B,
You can click the link below to watch the youtube video on how to partition your hard drive within Windows 10. This is not a Dell Video, but it is informative.
