XPS 8700 - Windows 10 Realtek Ethernet Driver Missing
My Ethernet hasn't been working for about a month and a half now and I finally found the time to check my drivers. When I checked, All I am seeing are:
- Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) #2
- Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI)
- Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 2230
- WAN Miniport (8 different WAN's)
But I do no find my Driver for my Ethernet. I've attempted to use the Dell website to download and re-add the driver but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick. http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/xps-8700/drivers/advanced?os=wt64a
Please let me know if I am doing something wrong or if there is an easier way to do it. I'm not sure I can roll back an update for Windows 10 since I never created a roll back point. But I am kind of a layman to this stuff so I may just not know what I am talking about.
Thanks!

the steps listed are for win 8.1, but it is the same approach I would take for Win10
The key point is to delete all the existing network devices.
If you don't see any once in Device Manager, then under the "View" menu, select show hidden devices and you may find some that need to be cleaned up.

And check in BIOS setup to make sure the onboard NIC hasn't been disabled.
