XPS 720 upgrade questions?

Could somebody explain what it is, what it does, what comes with it, how much does it cost, do you have to know a lot about computers to install it?

I was wondering, is this an offer that shouldn't be passed up?  I purchased an XPS 710 in Jan 07, it is running great.  I have the 6700 duo-core processor, 2mm, 500gb hdd.  Time is running out for responding the upgrade, can someone give the push to spend the $400.00 or so to do it?

Actually it is $250 as you can do the upgrade yourself without voiding your warranty. As to the why to do it, the primary reason is the upgraded chipset from Nvidia 570/590 to 680i. I suggest you do some reading on the chipset differences (Google will give you lots of material) and realize that the 680i chipset has the potential to recognize faster memory and possibly the newer/faster Intel chips. On the other hand, if you are not a person who likes to fiddle with, upgrade, or overclock your computers and you are as stated satisfied with the performance of your 710 then stick with it and save your coins. Finally you have until early October to decide so you don't have to rush.
