Windows 10 Creator Update Caused Inspiron 24-5459 WiFi to Fail
Hi,
Microsoft force-upgraded my machine to the Windows 10, version 1703 (Creator) upgrade.
After this upgrade my WiFi stopped working. Is Dell working on a new driver?
I installed the latest driver Qualcomm-QCA9565-WiFi-Bluetooth-Driver_Y8HRF_WIN_10.0.0.352_A08_01.EXE but it is still not working properly. It only works every other boot up and fails in the middle of sessions.
Is there a plan to fix this driver? Or are we on our own?
Thanks!

Windows 10 Creators update is another example of poor microsoft quality control. It BREAKS more than it fixes.
Qualcomm QCA9565 Wi-Fi/Bluetooth DELL OEM driver was last updated July 20 2017.
http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=Y8HRF
https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER04327415M/2/Qualcomm-QCA9565-WiFi-Bluetooth-Driver_Y8HRF_WIN_10.0.0.352_A08_01.EXE
The only possible resolution would be to scorched earth reinstall Windoze 10 1703 clean and see if
everything works. If not then do chipset drivers and then reboot then do usb3 drivers and reboot then do the QCA9565 driver and reboot.
I think this is a Qualcomm Atheros issue. My fix for this with my clients is to rip out the adapter and smash it with a hammer on the sidewalk. I then spend less than $20 to install a dual band 802.11 AC 600 adapter and a bluetooth adapter.
