Update Video Driver

Windows Update shows an update for my Video Driver (Nvidia geforce2 mx w/tv out) on a Dimension 4400 desktop running XP Home. I've heard it's better to get the driver from the manufacturer. But doesn't Dell modify these cards before shipping? From what I see I could do the driver update from the Device manager or from Windows Update or from Nvidia or even from the Dell Website.

So, which way should I go? If my video card seems to be working fine with a driver dated 2001 should I even worry about it? Thanks.

any driver will work. since you don't have a problem its not really an issue, you can update if you want, if you do, update to the latest from nvidia.com

Thanks for the reply. Think I'll leave well enough alone for now.
