Removing front panel on GX270

Hello, I have a user that took it upon themselves to 'repair' a bad power button on the front of the machine. By 'repair', I mean break it off and used a paper clip to turn the PC on and off. I've removed the front panel controller board and the panel with the power switch on it, but can't get past the metal part of the case to access the button hole. Is there a way to remove the front plastic panel to access the button and can the ring around the power button (where it says Optiplex GX270) be replaced? Thanks.
