Recommendations for a 250 GB BOOTABLE PCIe SSD for a Dell T7910 Workstation
Hi,
I want to install a bootable 250gb PCIe SSD in my Dell T7910 workstation. I already have a few SATA
SSDs and a PCIe in the machine, but they are 1-2 TBs.
I want a
250gb bootable PCIe drive for my Windows 10 Professional OS and my software. I imagine a Samsung PCIe SSD would be the way to go, but I'm pretty uninformed about the finer points of these drives and compatibility issues.
Accordingly, I'd be grateful to anyone who could recommend a reliable and compatible 250GB
bootable PCIe SSD for my T7910 workstation..
My thanks in advance for your advice and help.

Validated 256GB T7910 SSD =
W6VK9 Samsung SM951
F2G5J Samsung SM961
XVRV7 Liteon CX2A
8D5HT Toshiba XG4
The Precision 5810/7810/7910/7820/7920 were also tested to use the 80G5N PCIe SSD M.2 interposer card =
Below are the specifications of the PCIe card:
* UEFI Boot support
* No RAID support
* Allow mixing of PCIe card with M.2 SSDs and other drive types on a system
* Allow a drive on the PCIe card to be the boot drive and the rest to be additional drives (plus have * other drive types in drive bays)
* Allow another drive type to be the boot drive and the PCIe card with M.2 SSD's to be additional drives. Also allow other drive types to have additional drives in the drive bays

Dear Chris,
Thanks for your information. Unfortunately, the four cards you suggest seem to be no longer available. I have searched the internet for them, but no one seems to sell them anymore.
Do you know of any current equivalents to these cards that are compatible with the T7910?
Thanks again for your information

hello. I have confused with all this.
i have a dell T7910. Now I use a sata ssd (1tb) and i want to upgrade to a SAMSUNG 950 PRO M.2 1 TB. I have to buy an adapter expect from the m.2 card. Is it this the best choice or is better to buy a sas ssd ?
