Power up alternatives
Greetings all,
I recently inherited a Inspiron 2350 which had a damaged screen. The cost of replacing the screen seems...excessive compared to a refurbished or used system. It seems a shame to toss this i5 in the trash since I have a spare non-touchscreen HDMI monitor I can use with keyboard and moose.
I removed the monitor assembly and mount to give me just the base system left. I notice no other way to power on the system except for the button on the side of the monitor. Now that it's gone, is there any way to power on this system by connecting something to the motherboard to switch on and off the computer?
Thanks for your time
Steve

The way they design those connections, I don't think you can hard wire it to turn it on.
I have the system as well but my motherboard is toasted. You can hook me up with the base :)
