OptiPlex 5040 Mini Tower optional Parallel support?
I have a 5040 mini tower i7-6700. Manual in Specifications/External Connectors section there is a Parallel feature "25-pin connector (optional)". I was hoping that mean I could plug a cable onto the motherboard with a 25 pin parallel connector. Have done that before with other motherboards. But looking at the mobo, I see only two unused connectors. One is labelled USB - INT. The other label is unclear.
Does the motherboard have onboard parallel support? I would prefer not to install a parallel port card in the PCI slot.

The documentation must be incorrect. I do not see anywhere on the motherboard to plug in a 25 pin parallel port cable. The internal parts page doesn't even mention 25 pin connector?

Thanks for posting the board info. Perhaps by optional, the manual meant it could be requested when making the order. In any case, you have answered my question -- looks like the only way to use the old device wanting parallel is to install a PCI parallel port card.
Thanks again.
