Moving OS from HDD to NVME on new system
Hi,
I recently bought the Inspiron 5675 (Ryzen 7 1700 with 1 tb hdd). I have not even turned the machine on. I’ve ordered a 120gb nvme and was hoping to put the os (Windows 10) on it and then use the hdd for storage. How exactly should I do this? And what affect would it have on the software currently on the computer, I’m mainly referring to recovery stuff.
Thanks for the help, I hope that I have provided sufficient info.

Make a recovery flash drive, and then use it to load the OS onto the new drive.

You can do that if you plant to use it as a storage device -- yes.

Thanks!
I unplugged the hdd when I reinstalled the os. Should I reformat it when I plug it back in?
