Looking to game not sure what gaming pc to get
I've been looking to get a gaming pc and have around $1000 to do so. I've looked at what dell has to offer and it seems they have a bunch of Alienware pcs for gaming purposes. After taking a look it seems he Alienware Aurora could fit and the cheapest one is $1099. The Aurora comes with an i5 7400, 8g ram, and an RX 560. I have also been contemplating whether or not to build my own gaming pc as well, such as the $1000 build here: http://newbcomputerbuild.com/gaming-pc-build-2017/september-2017-monthly-gaming-pc-builds/#midrange
I have no experience doing so, but I would like to know the pros and cons of either?

The biggest pro to a pre-built system is that it works out of the box. The biggest con is that the parts are chosen by someone else, and often proprietary in nature, making future upgradeability questionable at best.
At $1K, the best performance for the dollar is a Ryzen system -- though compromising on the CPU can get you Intel as well. The single most important part of the system is the power supply - don't compromise on a $50-75 power supply. Get a solid, 750-850W power supply if you're building a system - which will run about $100 or more.

Thank you for your advice. That's my only fear is the actual building part, but from what I read doesn't seem too hard. I might look into putting something together with that Ryzen 5 1600x while keeping in mind quality parts.
