Is there a reliable way to get driver updates from Dell??

They say they have an automated way via a software download , but it fails to run every-time and gives a improper format error. Not sure what the purpose of this is , but it doesn't work.

So I try the manual way and there is plenty to download but it says they will automatically install after downloading. Well, no they don't . If I click on them, they unzip but that is all.

My guess is they all have to be manually installed under device driver correct?

Thanks.

fletchdell1,

Yes, once they are downloaded and unzipped you would need to click them and follow the driver prompts to complete the installation. Reboot after you install each one.

You may need to be using an account with Administrator privileges for drivers to auto-install.

But as Jesse said, some of them don't auto-install. So when you unzip the file pay attention to the folder location where the unzipped files will be stored. Then migrate to that folder and double-click the setup.exe app in that folder.
