install 730X motherboard in a xps 730.
the mother boards are slightly different between the 730 and the 730X. What must i do in order to swap these motherboards?
the 730 motherboard has a connector for the front panel , the 730x board does not. Not sure where that connector should go. http://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_xps_desktop/xps-730x_service%20manual_en-us.pdf

They should be swappable (same chassis), but the processors won't be -- you'll need a new Core i first generation CPU for the 730x -- the 730 used the older Core 2 CPU -- the two are mutually incompatible.

I thought it would be the same too, but the 730 board has a front panel connector that the 730x board does not....So I dont know where it needs to go... Hopefully i havent hurt anything by trying to poer up with this connector unplugged (nothing happened)
