Hello,

Resent issue is that my All in One Inspiron 2330 will not boot. I power on and the Dell logo appears but nothing happens after that. I have removed all connections and pref from the Computer but still nothing. Any suggestion on what this might be? Unplugged power repowered still the same. just the dell logo. tried to get into the setup but cannot.

Thoughts?

Dear Customers,

Dell is aware that a recent BIOS release (version 3.8.1) for the Inspiron 20 3052 All-in-One has caused some systems to fail to boot.  Dell has stopped the push of the affected BIOS version and urges impacted customers to contact Dell Tech Support or on Twitter @DellCares.

Thank you,

Dell Support Team

When it was last working, did you shut it off as normal, Click Start- Turn Off Computer- Turn Off? Were there any storms in your area? The 2330 came out in 2012. How long have you had it?
* Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the 2330
* Press and hold in the power button for 10 seconds
* Reconnect the power cord
* Try to power on. What color is the power button?

Hello, Thanks for your help. No Storms and was powered off with the Click start method. The Computer spins up light is solid white. Dell logo on screen. I will have to try your method of unplugging it and holding down the power button. reconnect and turning it on. Cannot remember if I tried that sequence.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your help. Where can I get a replacement Power supply? Hoping this is the issue and not the Motherboard.

Got the new power supply and the same thing. After playing around with it I was able to get to the diagnostic section and everything ran fine. I was able to get to get back online but noticed my disk was running at 100% and it was very slow. I found on the Internet thru another forum to disable fetch in the services and noticed the disk percentage dropped and things were looking good. My computer did a restart in the morning and now the Dell logo is back.... arg! Any suggestions here as I just spent 160 on a new power supply that did not fix anything.. dave

Update, I was able to get back in again and updated from the Dell site some drivers and bios that was recommended as well. I have powered down a couple times now and seems to be booting good now. So weird as I have no idea what was causing this issue. I will probably check the boot priority in setup to how this is setup. One other thing I wanted to try was the Dell diagnostic test but keep getting an Internet connection error and cannot proceed with the test. Flush of des cache as recommended but nada. Oh well I will still run some cleaning programs to see if I can stabilize this PC. Cheers
