Inspiron 3650 - Hardware Upgrade Questions
So I just got a shiny new Inspiron 3650 and I'm looking at upgrades. I'm planning to go to 16GB of RAM and I've already replaced the factory HDD with an older SSD that I had laying around.
My question is this. Can I use a PCIe M.2 SSD card adapter to run a SSD in this machine? And would it even be worth it performance-wise versus a standard 2.5" SSD of a new generation like a Samsung 950 Pro.
Also does any one know the best video card I can add in? Obviously it has to accomodate the small power supply of this device but I'm looking for the most powerful card I can throw in which will work and fit inside the dimensions of the case as well. An older thread mentioned a GeForce 750ti but that was from over a year ago now. I'm hoping there's a better option (preferably AMD in case I want to mine coins LOL.)
Appreciate any insight or wisdom from the good folks here. Thank you.

Hello! Technically you could use a PCIe M.2 SSD card adapter however this system probably will not boot off of it. If you want a speed bump, i'd replace the HDD with an SSD.
As for video cards you are super limited. The power supply I believe is like 240W if that (its proprietary) and the highest they ever installed and tested was an nVidia 730.

If you don't mind an extremely UGLY hack job you can put a short card inside and the power supply OUTSIDE with a Moddiy Adapter. That way a short GTX 1060 will fit inside. You do have to turn secure boot OFF and Legacy CSM ON to get these working.
