Got a Strange One Here??

I have a Dimension 4400 with the Dell Quietkey Keyboard SK8100.  After having to do a reinstall of XP (Home), I had to go to the Dell download site and download a driver to make the "hot keys" work.  After this...I discovered there was a problem with my screensaver, in that it would not work at my desktop.  This was (after a week of calls to Dell, and I discovered it) due to the fact that the Delltouch driver was constantly running in the background of Task Manager.  I have reloaded my original from CD and it works fine now.  Just curious....anyone else experience this or what?
