Firewire to USB

I just bought a Dell Dimension E310 and totally forgot to check into getting it equiped to use it for downloading video from my Canon ZR 65. I know I need a fire wire to do this, but does that mean I need to buy hardware for my Computer or is there anything to buy that would work? I have seen a new cord that claims to convert fire wire using the USB ports through the cable. http://www.pixela-1.com/captycable/ Does anyone know if this cable indeed works, or if there is a better option for me?
Please HELP! I really want to be able to put all the video of my little boy from the Mini DVs to my Computer. THANKS!!!

it's out of stock, but honestly, firewire pci cards aren't that expensive.  your best bet is just to buy one and install it
