Digital converter box needed for XPS 410?

Searched the Forum, but didn't find an answer.

Don't laugh, but I use an antenna ("bunny ears") with my Dell XPS 410 system running Vista SP1 to watch and record live TV. Will it still work next year after the switchover to digital TV?

If not, do I need to buy a new TV tuner card? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Digital Terrestrial TV typically requires a decent & well aligned rooftop or attic aeriel. Unless you happen to live next door to your local transmitter.

There are indications that the DTT signal will be boosted somewhat when DSO happens.

If you're currently watching Digital TV then you won't need a new TV card :)

It'll depend on which TV tuner you have. If you have a digital TV tuner, you can just use your current one, but if your TV tuner is analog (only), then you'll need a new TV tuner and possibly a more powerful antenna.

Is there a way to find out which tuner I have without opening the case? I checked the original purchase invoice, but it just says "Dell TV tuner," or something generic like that. Device Manager also has a very generic description for the tuner device.

Would love to save the hassle of opening the XPS 410 to look if there's a way.
