Dell XPS 410 maximum supported memory
What is the amount of RAM that a Dell XPS 410 would support? I'm on a mission to upgrade this machine to make it a little faster to use. Also, which Core2 Quad processors can this machine support?

Creaky C
4 gb DDR2 RAM, is the offical limit

But, it has also been reported that the XPS 410 can support up to 8 gb of DDR2 memory.
The XPS 410 was only sold with a 32 bit operating system and the original Dell Bios only supported 4GB. The XPS 410 will support up to 8GB maximum with a 64bit operating system.

Plus the Core 2 Quad Q6700 is also suported.
Prior to installing the processor, you need to upgrade the BIOS to the latest version, 2.5.3, because with version 2.5.1, new CPU Support was added.
