Dell USB recovery tool - Dell 9020 - Upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 - need
Using a Dell 9020 MT.
I noticed when I checked out the hardware there is no partition on the C drive that is set aside for a factory reset if/when Windows or something needs to be reset.
I have upgrade from Windows 7 professional to Windows 10 professional.
I have updated all the drivers etc, I have the system where I would want it if it needs to be reset.
What should I do to make a recovery option if/when it is needed.
I have also downloaded : dell-usb-recovery-tool_wjfv2_win_2.0.2.0_a00
I also have a 32GB USB 2.0 drive ready to go.
Thanks in advance for all the input.

How do I get a proper recovery tool for my computer (at the state that it is now.... I downloaded/upgraded to a legal copy of Windows 10)
Thanks again

Create Windows 10 installation media (free):
http://www.microsoft.com/.../windows10
Keep in mind that the Win 10 tool will only reinstall Win 10. It will not install any Dell drivers which you will have to download from Dell's site and install. And it will not install any Dell-installed apps, which you should also be able to download from Dell's site for free.

So an update and things seem only worse on my end
So I prepared a USB OS recovery Windows 7.
I thought well I need to reset to Windows 7. then download DBaR 1.9 Version. Than do the free upgrade (supposedly the DBaR will work if you have it first and I can make my recovery for Windows 10 that way)
Well now I am trying to install Windows 7 from the USB as my hard drive is now formatted
I have the product key on the case
Though during the installing Windows process I get to the question Where do you want to install windows
I have 4 partitions.
1) Recovery (OEM Reserved)
2) system
3) Primary
4) OEM Reserved
Now I am told " Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks.
I have no idea now what to do?
I can delete, format, of extend, or load driver, or refresh
But I cannot click next no matter what paritition I choose.
I see the recovery partition does have data used on it can I use that for recovery?
Or
how to I make it so windows allows me to continue to install ... well... windows

There is no windows 7 recovery tool and there is no way to revert the recovery partition after upgrading to 10. In short the recovery is forever broken. Dell does not provide a way for the user to create a recovery partition once its been modified. All you can do is use Diskpart to clear the disk in windows 10 so that you can reinstall windows 7 from scratch.
Windows 7 GUI WILL NOT be able to remove the windows 10 reserved partition etc. You can boot command prompt DVD and Run Diskpart. delete partition command doesn't take effect on hidden partitions as well as protected GPT partitions. , you must use another command, which is 'delete partition override'.

Now I'm totally confused... If you already updated to Win 10, why are you trying to reinstall Win 7..???
If you want to do a factory reset to Win 7, read this:
www.dell.com/.../restore-or-factory-reset-windows-7-on-your-dell-computer
NOTES: The Win 7 restore partition may no longer be accessible because you updated to Win 10. Even if it is accessible, it will only restore the original version of Win 7 and you will have to install many dozens of updates via Windows Update, which may take hours and numerous reboots.
