DELL T5500 stucked on POST s14 step
Good morning,
I took a DELL T5500 from my company which was going to trash it. It is a Xeon x5650 with 12 Gb RAM and Nvidia Quadro FX4800.
After I brought it at home I cleaned it blowing and vacuuming it. When ready, I connected everything and switched it on and it runs. The problem is it got stucked at step POST S14 with led 1-3 in green. As I saw on the manual this problem is related with routine video sequence, I've done following tests
* using Nvidia Quadro FX4800 (DVI and DP to DVI converter as the dell monitor doesn't have DP)
* using Nvidia NVS 420
* using Nivida GT220 (DVI and VGA with DELL monitor, HDMI with Benq monitor)
* Flashing CMOS
* Changing Bios battery
But I got no results except once when Windows started to load for some seconds before it stops suddenly...
Thanks a lot in advance. I would like to use this server as I think, although it's old, it stills quite powerful nowadays.

I found the solution by myself after all.
I saw a Motherboard's small fan was not spinning when I start the computer. I had to dismount all the components, extract the MB and remove the small fan pulling. I openend it and it had such a big ball of dust which avoids spinning.
I mounted everything again and the PC started with no problem.

Just one thing more, when DELL logo appears during startup, I don't have the option F2 to access bios, only F12.
When I press F12 for boot options and mark system configuration, it gets stucked with the same light colors code, 1-2-3 in green.
Thanks.

You cant have 2 different cards with a QUADRO and Geforce in the bus. You can ONLY Have 2 matching cards.

Thanks for your reply SpeedStep.
I know I only can have 1 graphic card at a time except QUADRO of Geforce. What I meant is I tested all of those cards by separate, only one connected each time.
Thanks a lot.
