Dell SE198WFP(Analog)
After my machine is off for a short time or times out and monitor is in standby mode it will not come back on with movement of the mouse. This is even worse if machine is off over night. All tests pass. When first startup, monitor will flash back ground picture sometimes. I have to cut off monitor with button on monitor then back on, each time I can get it to stay on longer. Done test from front panel, the digital did the same. Thanks to all who help. Will also try another monitor.

What is the PC model/number and what Operating System? This sounds more like a PC issue than the monitor.

The computer is an dell OptiPlex 790, the operating system is window 10 pro. Changed monitor to an HPvs15 and it came on ok. The only thing I can think of is the switch on the monitor is going bad. When I run the tests the monitor is always up and running so it always passes the tests! It is looking more like a hardware problem.
