Dell Optiplex XE SFF / Minecraft
I bought my daughter a Dell Optiplex XE SFF so she could have her own PC to run Minecraft.
Minecraft wont run, complaining "Pixel Format Not Accelerated"
After a ton of Googling, we can't figure out if its the machine, or how the machine is set.
The machine has:
WIndows 10 Home
Processor: Intel Core Duo CPU E7400@2.8GHz
RAM: 2GB
System Type: 64-bit OS, x64 based processor
Display Adapter: Intel Q45/Q43 Express Chipset (Microsoft - WDDM 1.1)
We ran a bunch of Intel tools, that all tell me us have the latest display drivers.
Can anyone help us, do we need new drivers, do we need a new video card, or is this PC just never going to be strong enough to run my daughter's Minecraft.

Since it looks like your running the Windows 10 version of Minecraft, it looks like your computer doesn't have the graphics capabilities to run it. I don't even think it would be worth the hassle to find a graphics card for this computer that would be able to run it. However if you want to give it a shot, it did come with 512MB AMD RADEON HD4550 low profile card.

You can buy specific models with or without components. The manual for your computer stated that it could use either the on-board graphics (Intel) or you could have upgraded the computer with the Radeon card. This is of course when it was purchased new by whomever. For your computer, its going to be difficult to find a decent graphics card that will fit and work with the components already in it.

Do you have a link for the manual? There were only 2 papers that came in the box, one was a user guide with how to recover windows 10, and the other a manufacturer warranty. Nothing that says anything about a Radeon card. Thanks very much!

Windows 10 is not supported on this system nor does INTEL GRAPHICS Intel Q45 support minecraft.
