Dell Optiplex 9010 Asset tag change A05

Good Day 

I hope someone can help me.

We replaced our Clients computer with a refurbished motherboard and they never changed the service tag. how do I change it?

Are you talking about Dell's Service Tag or some "Asset Tag" assigned by the owner?

On a lot of models, once a Service Tag is entered into BIOS, it can't be changed. Besides, the Service Tag is only needed by Dell to check warranty status before they can offer support and/or repairs. So if the system is out of warranty, the owners don't need to have the "old" Service Tag in BIOS.

There are a number of System Management apps on Dell's Support page for this model. Have you checked to see if any of them can change the Service Tag or let you enter the user's own Asset Tag?
