Dell OptiPlex 755 does not boot.

Hi,

I have Dell Optiplex 755, which does not boot into System Setup or BIOS. I was able to use it yesterday and it was working fine until it shuts down itself with 4 long beeps. I unplugged the power supply and boot the machine but nothing happens. The 4 long beeps were gone, it does not boot into system setup or BIOS. I have decided to buy a new hard disk as I suspected it was the problem. I managed to install the new 500GB disk but still, it does nothing. I also tried to remove the cable attached to hard disk and reinstall the disk but to no avail.

Please help.

Four beeps is a RAM failure - unplug the system, hold the power button and remove and reinstall the memory modules.  Try again - if you get the same no-boot, try one module at a time in each socket until you isolate the bad module (replace that) or bad socket (in which case, replace the mainboard).

That did the trick. I found the faulty RAM memory
