Dell 03NVJ6 Motherboard CPU Support

I have a Dell Optiplex 780 SFF and I wanted to upgrade my q8300 to a Xeon x5450 using the LGA 771 to 775 mod but don't know if the motherboard supports it?

But there is a way that you can modify the Xeon using a sticker adapter I just need to know if the chipset is compatible with the modified Xeon

There are Three requirements that your motherboard must meet in order to be able to run LGA 771 Xeon processors:

  1. You must have an LGA 775 motherboard with a compatible chipset.
  2. Your bios must support an LGA 775 CPU that's similar to the Xeon you want to run.
  3. You will have to cut the ears off the socket and you will have to ADD the flex circuit to swap 2 pins.

Physically no it does not. q45 chipset as per intel's web site states that it is not compatible with 5000 series processors.
