CPU FAILURE

I recently tried to clean my pc and then I changed the cpu. After that it won't turn on. The psu says the 4pin cpu power failure. I looked in the cpu socket there was some lint so I cleaned it out, still no power. Did I screw up the socket or blow some mosfets or something on the m obo?

Make sure the 4-pin power tap from the power supply is connected to the mainboard - that's what the error is referring to.

Just to add, if that doesn't work it could be random PSU failure, but I would really think it is more of a connection issue. Hopefully you were able to get the system started!
