Codecs

I have just bought a dimension 8300, and have begun downloading music and video. I cannot view the first movie I downloaded because I don't have the proper codec. The video was done with divx cryptx. How can I get the proper codec. to view the movie? I have the sound but no picture. Any help is greatly appreiciated.

I'm not sure about "cryptx", but there are a bunch of sites with divx codecs. Here's one http://www.divxcodecs.com/ that may help. Just run a search for "divx codecs" and you'll come up with the rest.
