Can't install 3.5" HDD in Optiplex 960 SFF
My office received a donated Optiplex 960 SFF where the HD was removed. I bought a new 3.5" SATA HDD, and it won't fit into the caddy. This is caddy with part number N915D. The caddy has two pins on each side, but the drive (like all HDDs) has 3 holes on each side, and the pins don't line up with the holes. The Optiplex 960 Service Manual shows how to add/remove a drive, but doesn't indicate if the pins go in the holes. What am I missing? Thank you!

Here's another picture, please note the alignment of the drive within the caddy:

Hi coopersquare,
Here's a video that shows how to fit the HDD: http://bit.ly/2ypwSrY
I hope it helps

Thank you for looking into it. I saw this video already, and I believe I tried putting it in that way. Do the pins go above the hard drive casing, into holes in the casing that don't exist, or do they press against the sides of the hard drive's casing? This video does not make it clear.

Thanks! Squinting to see the same image in the video helped, and I tried to get the pins into the holes, but they wouldn't all go in. So I just wedged the drive in, and some of the pins are squished up against the side of the HD casing. I wrapped the caddy in a velcro strap just to be safe. So far the drive seems to work just fine. They really do not make it easy to get into the caddy.
Thank you for your quick input.
