Bluetooth headsets not working on WinXP SP2 on XPS 420

I am unable to get bluetooth headsets to work with  Windows XP SP2 on my Dell XPS 420. This problem has more to do with Windows than Dell as far as I can tell. Something about the Bluetooth stack not being correct.

In Device Manager I have the following in my Bluetooth Radios category:

Dell Wireless 355C Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR module with trace filter

Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator

Some guides online has indicating having to install Widcomm drivers/stack for the Bluetooth instead. I've tried this and run into a few problems. Some guides say I should unplug my bluetooth adater. Not sure how to do this with the whole 19-1Card Read/Bluetooth thing. I found a Widcomm installer, but during the install it tells me to activate the bluetoother with a switch. The only switch i'm aware of is the little button up front next to the Bluetooth LED, and it doesnt seem to do anything.

Help is appreciated, Thanks.
