AC511 aux in AND USB in?
Hi, I have an XM radio and plug it into my Aux In on the Dell AC511, works fine. However, I no longer get Windows system sounds through the USB port, which is connected to my laptop.
Maybe that's the way Aux in is supposed to work, but is there some setting to get system sounds while listening on Aux In? The user "manual" is useless as there is not even a section on the Aux In and Headphone jacks! Thanks.

Hi!
Thanks for posting.
Apologies that your sound bar is not working as you expected.
In checking the manual for this product, under troubleshooting, it appears that either usb input or aux input can be used, but not at the same time. The audio source plugged into the aux will take priority over the two.

Hi,
I have a similar setup: a Macbook via a Dell P2715Q monitor connected to the USB of the AC511 and the sound works fine.
Today I connected a Google Chromecast Audio into Aux In of the AC511 but that didn't produce any sound. I also tried connecting my phone's audio to the Aux In but got the same result. Any ideas for a fix? As I understand the above, the Aux-In should override the sound via USB.
As a side-effect, even after unplugging the Aux-In, the AC511 doesn't play any sound from the computer either.
Thanks

I figured out why the sound didn't work for either of my configurations above: the USB connection between the monitor and the speaker is glitchy, once I carefully aligned the cables correctly both configurations work as expected.
I can now confirm that the Aux-In overrides the USB, so that whenever there's a plug in the Aux-In the sound from the USB is muted. This is unfortunate since it would've been great to get sound from both sources at the same time, but understandable since one is analog and the other digital.
I noticed another issue: when the Chromecast Audio is connected the constant white noise static (which is a widely known issue of the AC511) increases in volume and intensity, to the extent that it's disturbing enough to be unusable. This however seems like a Google issue since it only happens with that device, not when connecting my phone.
