530 MT processor upgrade?

Well i happen to know that the later revisions of the Precision Workstation 530 support up to 3ghz processors.
I was tinking of upgrading my dual 2.2ghz. however, i was wondering if anyone knows if Dell even has any upgrade kits to 3ghz for the Precision 530, or do i have to turn to official "Intel" releases?

i want to do the same thing. go from dual xeon 2.2 to ???? What can we upgrade?

the motherboard itself can support up to 3ghz processors. the question is where one gets the upgrade, because i assume if one chooses a non-Dell upgrade kit, one will probally have to do away with the air flow shroud.

I am trying the same trick as well, trying to get it up to a Xeon 2.8GHz (28x100). I hope the A11 bios can make the trick. If someone has had some good feedbacks. Let us know.
