I tried it and with clean windows install it doesn't work. I didn't format the ssd I just put it inside and tried installing

windows from usb media. it installed ok but after 2-4 restarts started to not being able to boot anymore with many different

erros and windows (when booted) sometimes frozen. I double checked to be sure that it was installed ok and no problem was found. SO with the system nearly unbootable and the windows freezing I decided and put the old hdd back which

is working fine with absolutely no problem.

Now I'm going to try the method proposed in the ssd installation instructions: I will connect the ssd with a usb 3.0 to

SATA 2.5 cable and clone the content of my HDD to the external SSD. That is the way you should do it according to

samsung instructions. I will use the program samsung provides and we will see...

From what i'm reading around on the NET not formatting the ssd BEFORE its use is probably the fatal mistake I did.

I didn't format the ssd because I'm waiting the delivery of the SATA to USB cable - I don't have it yet.

Some sites , like CNET, say that you should format properly the ssd even before cloning the system not just when you

are clean installing the windows...

... You have been warned ...

...SATA to usb cable came, I use it and clone my hdd to the ssd, I installed ssd BUT the same problem.....

samsung 850 EVO is NOT good with the aw x51r2...

Anybody has installed in aw x51r2 an ssd and what type/manufacturer you use?????
