So, you what happened after the reset? 

Unfortunately it reset and then crashed whilst loading windows. Now I can't get on it as it keeps saying 'the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "ok" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation' I click ok and get exactly the same.

Looks like you'll need to perform a clean installation of Windows.
